Beetroot Jamuns


Ingredients:
  • 3 cups grated Beetroots
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3-5 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2-1 cup dry coconut powder
  • roasted cashewnuts(for decorating)

Directions to Cook

  • Put milk and grated beetroot in a heavy bottomed kadai.Boil till thick,stirring occationally.Once it starts thickening,stir continuously.
  • Add sugar and cook further till thicken.
  • Add ghee and stir on low heat till the mixture collects in a soft ball.
  • Spread dry coconut powder in a plate.Prepare the beetroot halwa into small jamun shapes and roll them on coconut powder.
  • Decorate with cashewnuts and serve.
